The Problem: What’s Stopping You?

There are 2 major problems with trying to figure out what to eat to lose weight.

1.The Food Pyramid

The first is that our government guidelines for food, which started out as a food pyramid, controls all the health and nutrition advice that dieticians and doctors are obligated to hand out and unfortunately have contributed to the progression of obesity and disease that is prolific today.

2.“Revolutionary” Diets

The second are the diets that try to save you from these government guidelines. You’ve probably even tried a long list of these ways of eating before, like weight watchers, low fat, vegan or veggo, calorie restriction, protein shakes, juice cleanses, and the cabbage soup diet, just to name a few.

These diets were thought to be genius ideas in their prime and sure, some may work for a small minority of people. However, if any of these diets were the revolution they all claimed to be, the disease and obesity statistics would not be rising at the tremendous rates that they are

Made their promoters a whole lotta cash, whilst not fixing the problem in the long-term, given it was the wrong food and advice that did not match how we evolved as humans (more on this in a sec) and also did not address the modern-day problem of teaching people how to control their emotional eating.

Following the guidelines is not your fault – we all thought this was created in our best interest. Our History: How Did We Get Here?

Humans have spent 300,000 years evolving and have for the most part followed a particular way of eating. That way of eating led to our ongoing survival and where we are today- and where we are today is destroying all the work that our ancestors did to get us here.

They built this amazing house with solid foundations and we’re burning it to the ground in just 1 to 2 generations.

It wasn’t until recent times that our diets changed radically and as you can tell by simply walking down the street and looking around, that change in food and nutrition is not going well for humans.

The standard Australian or American diets of highly refined sugar, carbohydrates, and foods loaded and cooked with vegetable oils are literally killing our species and in the process lead to weight gain, brain fog, low sex drive, and eventually diseases like diabetes.

So the question is: which way did humans eat to evolve into amazing beings before the industrialisation and commercialisation of the food industry?
